A weekly Twitter discussion on packaging is being launched by easyFairs, organiser of the Packaging Innovations exhibition. #PACKCHAT will be hosted every Wednesday between 13:00 to 14:00. The organiser said ‘it will give Twitter users interested in the latest packaging issues a weekly opportunity to discuss the hottest topics in the industry.’

Each week there will be a new theme, set by a question posed, although participants will be welcome to put forward their own questions and ideas.

The first #PACKCHAT will be held on Wednesday 5 December and the first topic to be discussed will be ‘Why has packaging got such a bad rep?’

Alison Church, event director for the easyFairs packaging events, said: ‘#PACKCHAT is a great way for all those involved in packaging to catch-up on the latest industry news, discuss recent changes, hear about the latest packaging innovations and express their views on the packaging issues that matter to them.  We’re expecting some lively tweeting!’

The show organiser will also be hosting a live #PACKCHAT at Packaging Innovations at the NEC, at 13:00 on Wednesday 27 February, in the show’s Social Media Lounge. To attend this, register for free at: www.easyFairs.com/PIUK
