DGI is set to introduce two new textile printers to the market in the coming months.

The South Korean company showcased both the Poseidon mid-range sublimation transfer printer and the Apollon direct-to-textile printer at ITMA 2019 in Barcelona

The 1.6m wide Poseidon, which will be available from August, uses the same Kyocera printheads as the DGI HSFT III industrial sublimation printer. It has been designed for unattended printing and is targeted at mid-level production companies.

An SE model, which comes with an additional printhead allowing users to install spot colours or fluorescent inks will also be available, as will a mini jumbo roll unit enabling users to load up to 2500m of transfer sublimation paper.

DGI will release the Apollon, targeted at the fashion and interior décor sectors, after the Posedon. This press, which has 16 printheads, was shown printing with reactive inks at ITMA at speeds of up to 250sqm/hr.
