Sihl Direct UK has launched Permovable outdoor graphic film, a new product that creates exciting opportunities for outdoor graphic specialists.

Permovable is a 2 mm, non-PVC, pressure sensitive film developed for direct use on previously unavailable locations, walls, pavements and roads and other unsealed outdoor surfaces for short term event promotion. It is an easy to apply self-adhesive, digitally printable media for use outdoors on rough, porous surfaces and offers a host of benefits in comparison to previously available graphic films.

The substrate is easily installed without the need for special tools or surface preparation. Once installed, the printed film conforms to the structure underneath whether it is concrete, asphalt, or other porous materials used in walls, slabs, paths, streets or parking lots. It meets the anti-slip standards for outdoor pavements, and requires no over-laminate.

Additionally, the product is vinyl-free, posing no risk to the environment that can arise from metals. When the graphic is no longer needed, it is easily removed, along with the adhesive, with a power-washer, fracturing the signage into sand-like particles that need no special disposal methods.

Ian Turnbull, operations director said, ‘We are delighted with the market response to this clever product. Not only is it kind to the environment, Permovable also saves digital printers hours of time spent applying and removing outdoor graphics which is helping them reach new customers and expand their businesses.’
