Duplo’s DB-290 perfect binder features a new side-gluing technique
The DB-290 perfect binder from Duplo has improved glue application and adhesion for a “better bind” and squarer books.
Duplo’s DB-290 perfect binder offers a new side gluing option done by wheels with their own dedicated glue tank. Operators can use fast-drying adhesive to firmly support the shape of the book, while the glue in the main tank can be a slower-drying variety, giving more time for the adhesive to thoroughly penetrate the spine.
Delivering compact perfect binding for long and short runs, the single-operator machine is suited to the production of softcover books, tape-bound books and notepads. The DB-290 supports a maximum book thickness of 40mm at a production speed up to 200bph.
