Neschen has introduced two new widths in its Easy Dot Transparent L-UV range of PVC- and solvent-free clear polyester film. enabling work to be produced with a better match between roll width and finished size.

The new widths are 106.7 and 160cm, suiting 1.2 and 1.6m roll-fed HP Latex (for which they are certified by HP) and other vendors’ UV-curing printers. The material is said to be absolutely transparent in unprinted areas and so suitable for positioning on the inside of windows. The material may also be combined with PP matt backing, a white film that acts as a laminate and can replace a full-bleed white printed layer if required, potentially reducing white ink consumption.

The films use a water-based solvent-free adhesive, suitable for both short and longer-term applications, after which they can be removed easily and Neschen says that in addition to dimensional stability, they are suitable for kiss-cutting, allowing further processing.
