Roland DG has expanded its free Cloud Connect online service, with expanded language and geographical support, bringing its functionality and connection to a wide network of users for collaboration and sharing of ideas.

Initially introduced in the UK, North America and Japan, Cloud Connect now additionally serves Europe, Latin America , Oceania and Korea through support for major European languages and Korean. It aims to provide a ‘more comfortable and stable operating environment, improved workflow efficiency, increased business development and profitability’ to users of all the company’s TrueVis printer models, though firmware updates might be required.

The software gives immediate access to performance metrics allowing device activity to be monitored and production efficiency calculated. In the event of an error condition arising, shared information on operating history and status should help identify the cause and speed rectification, reducing downtime. The Health Check function monitors key components such as the print head, and notifies users of required maintenance, while the Dashboard function offers an easy-to-understand colour-coded view of operating status to improve product utilisation efficiency.

Johan Struyfs, EMEA service director at Roland DG UK, said, ‘We’re incredibly proud to announce the expansion of our Roland DG Connect service that broadens the creative horizons of our customers by connecting them to a wide range of people and resources over the internet. This is an ongoing project for us at Roland DG, and we are dedicated towards continuing to add new features, services, and geographic coverage long-term to generate an even more compelling creative ecosystem with our customers around the world.’

The range of supported Roland products will also be expanded in the future.
