The production and installation of wide-format print for a variety of clients at full-service provider Wahooti has been made faster and more reliable through implementation of Vism software implemented earlier in 2019.

Wahooti, which was founded in 2015 by Nick and Julian Manuel, has a turnover of £3 million and 10 staff. While it manages a full range of print products produced by vetted third-party suppliers, the last year has seen a big increase in large format printing and installation work, with requirements for specialist fitters.

Nick Manuel explained. ‘Whether we are doing this ourselves or using external suppliers, accurate and timely communication is extremely important. For a while, we were doing this using Google calendar, WhatsApp and information briefing sheets produced in Word. This was extremely limited in terms of sharing information with multiple installers to see who was most suitable and available for the job and also gave us a real headache when it came to knowing that the customer had signed-off the project and if they were happy.’

Vism cloud-based project management software addressed these problems by providing a central repository for job information and installer availability. ‘We can also fire through any changes and their instructions are updated immediately. This simple improvement to our operations has saved us at least two days per month, which has a hugely positive impact on our bottom line profitability,’ added Mr Manuel.

The software also handles end-customer sign-off, speeding invoicing and payment, as well as providing a seamless level of service when sub-contractors are used.
