UK print specialist Time 2 Display has improved order management and customer response times by 80% following the implementation of HP PrintOS Production Hub.

The company adopted the software after growth across packaging, marketing materials and exhibition graphics made its workflows more complex. Before the installation, teams lacked real-time visibility of job progress and often had to manually check across departments before responding to customers.

By bringing order management, job preparation and remote print control into one connected workflow, Time 2 Display has streamlined communication between sales, studio and production teams, while reducing errors and improving decision-making.

The company reports that live production visibility has enabled it to nest jobs more effectively, cutting substrate waste by 22% and downtime by 15%. Real-time workflow visibility has also allowed sales and support staff to check job status immediately, turning responses that previously took hours into a matter of seconds.

Improved coordination has increased overall efficiency by 15%, while the studio team can now prioritise approvals and align jobs more effectively with upcoming production runs.

Time 2 Display has also reported a 90% improvement in reporting accuracy, allowing more precise job costing based on real-time material usage and consumables. The company said clearer media consumption data has helped reduce substrate costs by 20% through better forecasting, bulk buying and fewer deliveries.

Integration with production hardware, including the HP Latex 730 printer, has further strengthened operational control by allowing the team to track real-time production costs and feed those insights into commercial decision-making.

“With HP PrintOS Production Hub, we now have complete visibility across the business – anyone can instantly check job status, respond to customers in real time, and make informed decisions. This shift from a reactive production model to a proactive, forward-looking approach has been transformative in opening up opportunities for business growth,” said Lorraine Whitburn, managing director at Time 2 Display.

Daniel Martinez, SVP and division president, Large Format Printing, HP, added: “Time 2 Display demonstrates how connected, data-driven workflows can deliver immediate and measurable business value. With HP PrintOS Production Hub, they’ve been able to simplify complexity, improve responsiveness, and build a more agile, efficient operation that is well positioned for future growth.”
