LGP’s RMGT LED-UV press will be accompanied by a Cron CtP system

Litho printer LGP Print has invested in a Ryobi LED RMGT 924 LED-UV press to keep up with customer demand.

‘Digital printing has given the customer the impression that any job can be produced almost instantly – no matter what quantity, finish, or substrate they might require,’ said Philip Stead, managing director. ‘LED-UV does at least give litho printers the chance to meet those demands to a degree!’

The four-colour version of Ryobi’s 920 Series has a maximum sheet size of 920 x 640 mm and will sit alongside LGP’s SRA2 format five-colour Ryobi 685 and its five 52cm format presses. The company decided to move up to A1 size extend its range of print services.

‘Coupling the larger sheet size with the LED-UV made an awful lot of sense to us,’ explained Mr Stead. ‘We will get dry to the touch sheets exiting the press, meaning that we can back up jobs immediately or send the work straight to the finishing department.’

LGP will take delivery of its new machine, purchased from Apex Digital Graphics, in November.
