The pit stop-style floor graphic was designed to boost support for Jaguar’s Formula E race team

Worcester-based creative communications agency drp teamed up with Soyang Europe to produce a life-size Formula E race car floor graphic for Jaguar Land Rover.

The floor graphic was designed to boost support for Jaguar Formula E race team in the form of ‘FanBoosts’ from JLR staff. The top three drivers with the most FanBoosts will be awarded a temporary boost in power in each ePrix.

For its pit stop-style structure, drp chose wide-format media specialists Soyang Europe, whose aluminium foil-based ‘AlumiGraphics material was perfect for the job,’ explained Lee Whitehouse, head of print at drp.

The recyclable, wide-format media has a white finish that accepts a wide range of solvent, eco-solvent, latex or UV inks; is printable direct to the surface with no over lamination required; and moulds naturally, without heat, allowing it to be applied to virtually any rough or smooth textured surface.

‘The whole install was further complemented by additional printed communications material and graphics,’ added Mr Whitehouse.

‘drp are an incredibly innovative team and it’s always great to work with them on such creative projects,’ commented David Hunter, sales manager at Soyang Europe. ‘It’s also particularly rewarding to see ground-breaking products like AlumiGraphics being used in such an artistic way.’
