Howden has expanded its Print Business insurance proposition with enhanced cover aimed at sign makers, vehicle graphics specialists and fleet graphics businesses across the UK.
The updated offering combines expertise from the company’s print and motor trade teams to better reflect the day-to-day risks faced by businesses working across production workshops, vehicle graphics and on-site installations.
According to Howden, the enhanced proposition is designed to provide more flexible protection for companies that regularly balance workshop-based manufacturing with customer vehicle work, installations and operations at height.
The offering combines underwriting support from two major UK insurers with a more tailored approach, allowing businesses of varying sizes to access cover options that are often associated with larger organisations.
Among the features of the enhanced scheme are no maximum limit on vehicles on the road, open driving for authorised and licensed drivers, business use that includes commuting, cover for both customer and company-owned vehicles, contingent loan and hire cover, No Claims Bonus protection, and flexible cover for work at height, heat use and unattended operations.
“Sign makers and vehicle graphics businesses sit at the intersection of print and motor trade, and their insurance needs don’t always fit neatly into one category,” Luke Wildey, a former printer who now works as an insurance broker in Howden’s Print Business team. “This enhancement is about recognising that – and providing cover that reflects how these businesses actually operate. Rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, we’re offering a more informed, specialist approach that supports everything from the production floor to on-site installation and vehicle work.”
Rather than launching a standalone insurance product, the enhanced offering forms part of Howden’s existing Print Business insurance proposition, bringing together expertise from its print and motor trade specialisms.
The company said the scheme is available to businesses across the print, signage, large-format and vehicle graphics sectors, with no specific eligibility requirements. It is intended to support independent companies, franchise operations and larger organisations alike.
