Fujifilm used its Peak Performance Print Experience event in Brussels at the end of September to show developments in its digital print line that included a new print mode option for the JetPress 750S B2 inkjet press.

Available as an on-site upgrade to existing JetPress 750S and High Speed models, the new Value mode maintains the full 1200 x 1200dpi resolution (the 5400sph high speed mode drops it to 1200 x 600dpi) but prints without the primer normally used in the slower high quality mode, at the same 3600sph. This saves the cost and time of priming stage and is expected by Fujifilm to appeal to those looking at folding carton applications, for which a high pile feeder and delivery option is available.

Depending on the substrate and application, high quality mode and high-performance mode can also be switched for maximum flexibility.

Fujifilm also used the event to provide attendees with updates on its developments in inkjet imprinting for analogue pre-printed corrugated packaging, direct mail and other applications with its X-Bar system, and its flexible packaging press.
