Premier Paper will now be stocking three of UPM’s paper and board ranges, Finesse, Digi Finesse and Fine.

The deal, which has come into immediate effect, was driven in part by Premier’s parent company, Ovol Japan Pulp & Paper, being UPM’s largest global client. Supplying its Finesse and Fine ranges through Premier was described as  a ‘logical step’ for UPM as it further builds its reach through its key customer.

UPM Finesse is a range of wood-free coated paper and board available in both gloss and silk finishes across a wide choice of sizes and weights. UPM Digi Finesse is optimised for use on sheet-fed digital presses using dry toner electrophotography technology as well as being certified for use on HP Indigo presses.

Meanwhile UPM Fine is also a range of wood-free paper and board, in this case uncoated, described as being flexible, multi-use and ‘ideal for a vast array of applications and end-uses.’

‘UPM Finesse, Digi Finesse and Fine are excellent, well recognised brands throughout the world and the addition of these grades to our portfolio allows us to offer next day availability to customers across the UK,’ said Dave Jones, Premier Paper’s marketing director. ‘Introducing these ranges is a very positive move for Premier and a direct benefit of the strong relationship between UPM and our parent company. We are always looking to offer the widest choice of top brands to the market, together with the Premier Service.’
