Bakergoodchild has invested over £2 million in a range of print and finishing equipment as part of its 2021 Growth Strategy.

The direct mail company, based in Birmingham, has purchased two Ricoh IP5000 continuous inkjet presses, two Fusion Cross inserters from Böwe Systec, a Criterion letter sorter and a Duplo bookletmaker. In addition, bakergoodchild has upgraded its existing hybrid mail platform and invested further in its multi-channel solutions to ensure clients are truly given channel choice when it comes to their customer communications.

‘These ambitious investments are a big step forward for us and have been a long time in the planning, but this is only the beginning of what will be an exciting 2021 for us,’ said managing director Paul Brough. ‘We are committed to being the single source for all our client’s communication requirements, so we need to always have a competitive edge within our industry. In order to provide our clients with the best, we need to invest, and there is more to come in the new year with a brand new customer suite as well as a complete office refurbishment.’

Bakergoodchild has big growth plans for 2021 with these, and other, investments as well as a new second site, allowing it to offer faster turnaround times, flexible and bespoke secure mailings and complex multi-channel solutions.
