Canon has introduced the ImagePress C910 series of SRA3+ cut-sheet toner presses, offering up to 90ppm, to address the needs of commercial printers, in-plants and SMEs wanting to bring production of marketing collateral in-house. 

Launched at Canon’s annual Cutting Edge customer event this week at its Customer Experience Centre in Venlo, the Netherlands, the 2400dpi ImagePress C910, C810 and C710 models respectively offer 90, 80 and 70 pages per minute. on stock from 52 to 350gsm (depending on configuration) and are designed for monthly production volumes of up to half a million A4 pages

Print quality features include 190lpi equivalent image and tint screening and the presses will print on a wide range of media, including textured varieties, thanks to an elastic layer on the image transfer belt. There is support 1300mm banner printing, which allows 8-page A4 folded products to be made, as well as book jackets and posters. A range of finishing options is available, including a multi-purpose stacker for high volume banner printing, a continuous output kit for unattended perfect binding and a choice of booklet finishing stations.

DFE and workflow options for the new models are Canon’s PrismaSync, embedded G250 or external H350 EFI Fiery controllers. Commercial availability is from May 2019.
