Xerox’s sheet-fed inkjet press now gets a roll-feed option too

Xerox has increased the productivity of its Brenva inkjet press, increased maximum stock weight and added roll-fed options for longer unattended runs.

Displayed at Print 18 in Chicago, US last week, the duplex speed kit for the Brenva HD Production Press ups the output speed from 197 to 275 A4 pages per minute, and with the right sheet size can hit 300 A4 sized impressions per minute.

The press can now handle stocks of up to 270gsm, meaning that postcards, ID cards and other heavy media jobs can be handled.

Thanks to a collaboration with Tecnau, Xerox can also offer the SheetFeeder BV roll feed system for the Brenva that Tecnau says is equivalent to having a 50,000 sheet input tray, bringing reductions in paper cost and increasing unattended operation time for long run jobs in books, transactional and direct mail printing, categories that are predicted by IT Strategies to experience double-digital compound annual growth between now and 2022.

‘We’re continually looking for ways to drive new business efficiencies and opportunities for our customers, and our upgrades for Brenva HD were designed with those key elements in mind,’ said Ragni Mehta, vice president and general manager, Cut Sheet Business, Xerox. ‘Our customers can now focus on maximising their business potential and growing revenue by taking on more print jobs, regardless of run length.’

The Brenva HD speed upgrade kit is available for both new press sales and as an upgrade to existing machines.

Xerox has also announced that it has scored “perfect” 5.0 rankings in the environmental, social and governance categories and an overall 96 out of 100 in the FTSE4 Good Index Series, which measures the performance of companies on these criteria.
