SPS Group, provider of intelligent retail marketing solutions, has installed the UK’s first Xerox iGen 5 Press as part of its expansion in digital production printing.

The Group works for leading brands, including Wickes and Tesco, producing a wide range of printed collaterals and point of sale materials.

‘Our clients are some of the UK’s biggest brands which means it’s essential that we can produce work exactly to their guidelines,’ said Toby Martin, SPS Group director. ‘The iGen 5 Press allows perfect colour matching meaning high quality, on brand work, every time. This will enable us to broaden our range of services and grow our business.’

Supplied by Advanced Business Equipment, the iGen 5 is fully customisable to meet page volume, application type and colour needs – all while delivering market-leading press uptime. The new Xerox press will be used in conjunction with Mauve, the company’s online repository and workflow solution, that enables clients to perform activities such as access digital asset libraries, control stock, make approvals and create artwork and ticketing.

‘The SPS Group is under pressure to consistently produce high quality materials in limited time without letting colour standards slip,’ said Adele Cable, business consultant, Advanced Business Equipment. ‘The iGen 5’s optional fifth colour unit increases the ability to match a larger gamut of Pantone colours or unknown spot colours without hindering productivity.’
