bakergoodchild’s Renz AP360 heavy duty punching system

Birmingham-based bakergoodchild has chosen a heavy duty Renz AP360 autopunch to bring punching and binding in house.

The automated AP360 punch features a two-finger paper pick-up system, which can handle a range of mixed stock, fast die-changes, and has optional two-part split dies for book and calendar work. The mail provider chose the industrial puncher for its calendar, book, corporate document, booklet and brochure output, to add to its services and to stop outsourcing the punching and binding aspect of its finishing department.

‘We noticed a significant increase in mailings and print around major blue chip companies, publishers, marketing agencies, as well as the education sector,’ explained brand manager Mohammed Pandhair. ‘We do a lot of print work for these clients and they have major projects that require binding, and therefore [we] needed an industrial puncher.’

The company also particularly liked the Renz unit’s advanced configuration options, which helps with the setting-up of projects and will be useful when clients provide particularly high quality paper for a job.
