“Digital print evangelist” Francois Martin

Francois Martin, former global marketing head for HP’s Graphic Solutions Business, will speak at IPEX’s “Print in Action” conference programme.

Mr Martin is now a senior graphics industry consultant and digital print enthusiast. His keynote session at 14:00 on 31 October will focus on the industry’s technological evolution from “product and service” company strategy to networks and platforms. He will explore new business models and propose a clear roadmap for both print service providers and the market as a whole.

‘IPEX 2017 will attract many printers and it is the perfect forum to feel the pulse of the industry and identify new strategies for its future,’ stated Mr Martin. ‘I’m delighted to be announced as its first keynote speaker. The transformation of the printing industry extends way beyond technology and heavy metal. All the players – brands, printers and technology suppliers – will need to deal with these new horizons of digitisation to explore how new opportunities can be created.’

The Print In Action conference programme runs on the Centre Stage and will be co-presented by industry journalist Karis Copp. The 11 sessions will follow the style “Print In…”, reflecting the embedded nature of the print process and its intrinsic importance to the indicated areas. During each session three speakers will present on a topic acknowledging their expertise, before joining a panel to share and develop opinions, delving into the opportunities and challenges facing printers and their customers.

‘The diversity of the sessions on offer means there is truly something for everyone that engages with print, presented in a dynamic format,’ commented Rob Fisher, event director for IPEX 2017.
