IFS is offering streamlined saddle stitched booklet production capabilities following the launch of the Horizon FoldLiner.

The FoldLiner incorporates the AFC-74 Series Folder and the StitchLiner 6000 SaddleStitching System with a VAC-80S collator and the HIF-6000F hybrid interface that support smooth production.

Running at up to 6,000 booklets per hour, the new system has been designed to reduce human touchpoints, with no additional offline processing is required after printing.

‘A key production benefit of the FoldLiner is that it eliminates the need for separate folding,’ explained Bryan Godwyn, IFS managing director. ‘This results in print from a digital or offset press sheet being transformed into a saddle stitched booklet in one complete process.’

The FoldLiner is suitable for digitally printed B2 size sheet and full-size press sheets. It can combine four-page signatures with 8- or 16-page signatures.

It also offers variable sheet count production via an optional mark sensor. The latter can be used to confirm the end of set for static count jobs for higher security.
