The Polar 78 Eco will handle work from both litho and digital presses

Cambridge printer Quadraproof has installed a Polar 78 Eco from Heidelberg to improve cutting capacity. It replaces a 24 year old Polar 76 which the company bought secondhand 12 years ago.

The guillotine will handle work from both litho and digital presses and will run from 7.30am to 5pm and later when required. The company provides most finishing processes in house, including laminating.

Doug Doig, founder and managing director, said, ‘We needed something quicker and more up to date. We are getting used to the modern control panel and we think this latest technology will help us and make the right impression on visitors to our works, including customers from cutting edge technology firms on the science park in Cambridge.’
