Kridia ArtPrinting Solutions has become the first company in Albania to offer customised embossed wallcoverings using Roland DG’s Dimense technology, expanding the range of premium interior decoration products available in the country.
The company specialises in wallpaper, 3D textured wallcoverings and bespoke interior designs, serving customers across Albania. Supported by experience in the wider advertising and printing industry, Kridia invested in the Roland DG Dimense printer and the Roland DG Connect Designer Dimense Module after being introduced to the technology by Graphcom Albania, Roland DG’s regional partner.
Julinda Kolleshi of Kridia ArtPrinting Solutions said: “We had used Roland machines before and were very pleased with our experience. That’s why we decided to invest in a new Dimense device and bring a new technology in Albanian market.”
The Dimense printer is used to produce 3D embossed wallpaper and canvas prints for a growing range of indoor decorative applications, while the Roland DG Connect Designer Dimense Module supports both creative and production workflows.
According to the company, the software provides centralised oversight of its Roland DG equipment, including printer status, maintenance information and operational insights.
“The software has been a useful tool for monitoring printer status, maintenance needs, and overall device performance”, said Ms Kolleshi.
Artwork is prepared before being imported into the Designer module, where texture and embossing are defined. Kridia says the software simplifies structure editing by generating textured effects based on image tones and contrast.
“Designer makes it much easier to create and manage the structure editing within an image,” explained Ms Kolleshi. “It allows us to select and generate structures based on image tones and contrast levels more efficiently than traditional design software.”
The software has also helped the business complete time-sensitive customer work, including a project involving embossed ancient coin graphics.
“We had to complete the client’s request as soon as possible, and Designer was very time-efficient for editing the structural elements,” she added.
Kridia now uses the Designer module on almost all projects involving structure editing. As the only company in Albania currently producing fully customised embossed wallpaper from customers’ own artwork, it aims to continue expanding its portfolio of textured wallcoverings and decorative print applications as demand for personalised interior environments grows.
