CMYUK has appointed Kate Channon as senior digital sales consultant. The appointment strengthens its UK sales team as the company continues to expand its digital print equipment portfolio.

Based at CMYUK’s headquarters in Shrewsbury, Ms Channon will report to sales director Chris Martin and will be responsible for selling the company’s portfolio of digital print production technologies. Her remit includes sublimation, eco-solvent, UV and UVgel printing systems, digital cutting and finishing equipment, laminating solutions and workflow software.

Ms Channon joins from Fujifilm, where she was senior business development manager. She has worked in the wide-format digital print sector since 2011, focusing on the sale of production print systems.

Commenting on her appointment, she said: “CMYUK’s broad portfolio really appeals to me because it means I can now offer customers complete production solutions. I’m especially excited to invite my long-standing customers to the Shrewsbury facility so they can see first-hand the depth and range of what CMYUK offers. The level of application knowledge and technical support here is exceptional, certainly something I have not seen before, and that gives me huge confidence in what we can deliver.”

CMYUK’s demonstration and training centre in Shrewsbury enables customers to evaluate equipment across a range of print applications, from entry-level production through to higher-volume industrial systems. The company said its portfolio includes newer additions such as the JWEI SG range of digital cutting tables, aimed at making advanced cutting and finishing technology more accessible to a wider range of print businesses.

The company said its consultative sales approach is supported by application expertise, training and technical support, helping customers assess technology investments based on their production requirements and commercial objectives.

Chris Martin, sales director, equipment at CMYUK, said: “What really stands out about Kate is her determination to make things happen. She doesn’t wait for opportunities; she goes out and creates them. Combined with her robust industry relationships and track record in selling high-value systems, she will not only be a tremendous asset but will fit in perfectly with our executive sales team.

“Kate joins CMYUK at an exciting time as we continue to expand the reach and relevance of our equipment portfolio. Her experience, energy, and customer-first approach will be invaluable as we help more print businesses identify the right technology to support profitable growth.”
