South African printer Lebone Litho Printers has enhanced its operations through investments in Fujifilm’s latest inkjet technologies, including the Jet Press 750S High Speed Model and several integrated inkjet solutions. These upgrades have transformed the company’s production capabilities, improving efficiency, print quality, and turnaround times for its growing client base.
Since installing the Jet Press 750S High Speed Model in 2022, Lebone Litho has experienced a marked boost in commercial and transactional printing performance. The press, the first of its kind installed in South Africa, has become the backbone of Lebone’s high-quality print output, the company said. “Its ability to deliver exceptional results while maintaining efficiency has enabled us to expand our offerings and better serve our clients,” said co-founder and managing director of Lebone Litho Keith Michael.
Mr Michael commented: “Our workforce loves the press. It’s easy to use, efficient, and has made our production process much smoother. Our clients may not always know what equipment we use, but when they visit and see the Jet Press in action, they’re amazed by the output and turnaround.”
In addition to the Jet Press, Lebone Litho has invested in multiple integrated inkjet systems from Fujifilm, including the 42K Printbar System, the 46kUV Inkjet Printbar, and the Unigraphica TransJet Transport System. These systems have modernised Lebone’s security and variable data printing operations. “The 42K’s from Fujifilm were the best investment I’ve ever made,” said Mr Michael. “We’ve increased productivity, reduced labour costs, and shortened lead times to the point where we can charge a premium.”
Mr Michael emphasised the critical role of precision and security in its operations, particularly in government and transactional work. The 46kUV Printbar, with its high-resolution capabilities, now plays a central role in barcoding and variable data printing. “It allows us to handle highly detailed security printing applications with outstanding consistency,” he said.
“Choosing the right technology partner is crucial,” Mr Michael added. “With Fujifilm, I know I have a reliable long-term partner who supports our business goals. They’ve become more than a supplier – they’re a key stakeholder in our success.”
The company produces a wide range of secure and high-volume materials including election ballots, barcoded documents, exam papers, educational materials, and thermal printing for receipts and tickets.
