Fiery has unveiled two new digital front ends (DFEs) to boost performance, automation, and colour accuracy for Ricoh Pro C5400S and C5410S printers. The E-28B and E-48B DFEs have been built around the latest Fiery FS600 Pro software platform and are engineered to serve print environments, from quick print shops to high-volume in-plant facilities.
The E-28B offers job and colour management capabilities, while the higher-end Fiery E-48B delivers even more processing power and automation, helping users streamline operations from prepress to output. Both models are intended to enhance the flexibility, speed, and professional quality needed in today’s competitive print landscape, said Fiery.
Fiery Command WorkStation unifies job management across all Fiery-driven devices, while tools like Fiery Job Groups and Fiery Print Scheduler simplify batch organisation and print planning. Integration with the cloud-based Fiery IQ suite provides real-time analytics and production insights to support better business decisions.
Automation is a cornerstone of the new DFEs, stated the company. Fiery JobExpert auto-applies optimal print settings by analysing PDFs, while Fiery Preflight detects file issues early to avoid production delays. Fiery JobFlow Base automates prepress tasks, and Fiery TrueBrand ensures brand colour accuracy from common office applications.
For users demanding precision and speed, native Adobe PDF Print Engine support enables high-fidelity rendering of complex files. The DFEs also offer seamless integration with MIS, web-to-print platforms, and third-party finishing solutions. Enhanced security features like Secure Boot and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) protect sensitive customer data.
“These DFEs deliver the fastest performance and the most accurate colour for all your print applications,” said John Henze, vice president of sales and marketing at Fiery.
Gavin Jordan-Smith, chief global sales of strategy division and North America sales officer of Ricoh added: “This collaboration continues our commitment to innovation, helping commercial and in-plant printers achieve professional results and business growth.”
