Yeomans, an agency working with more than 260 charities across the UK, has invested in a Canon varioPrint iX3200 sheetfed inkjet press as part of a wider programme to expand its in-house print production capabilities and support future growth.
The investment follows the company’s recent rebrand and relocation to a purpose-built production facility, which Yeomans says has improved operational efficiency and increased capacity across its production and service operations.
Yeomans provides services including strategic consultancy, fundraising, creative, supporter care, fulfilment, warehousing and print production to a range of organisations, including hospices, faith-based charities, international NGOs and animal welfare organisations.
According to the company, the new press replaces legacy toner equipment and allows around half of its previously outsourced print production to be brought back in-house. Yeomans says the move is intended to increase production capacity, improve flexibility and reduce reliance on external suppliers.
The company says it has seen growing demand from charities for smaller, more targeted and personalised communications, rather than high-volume mailings. It says the new equipment is designed to support faster turnaround times for fundraising campaigns and emergency appeals.
The Canon varioPrint iX3200 uses water-based polymer pigment inks and is designed to produce personalised print applications across a range of media. Canon says the technology also supports print-on-demand production and can help reduce waste through more efficient production processes.
The installation was supported by Canon’s project management, technical and service teams, which worked with Yeomans throughout the installation and onboarding process.
Phil Broad, managing director at Yeomans, said: “This investment wasn’t about saving money. It was about improving what we do for our clients. The Canon varioPrint iX3200 allows us to bring much more work back in-house, giving us greater control over quality, more flexibility and the ability to respond much more quickly, whether that’s a personalised campaign or an emergency fundraising appeal. Ultimately, it enables us to deliver a better service to the charities we support.
“Everything we do is driven by purpose. If we’ve done our job well today, somewhere a charity is better able to support somebody who needs it. That’s what gets us out of bed every morning. This investment helps us take what we do to the next level, by giving us the quality, responsiveness and consistency our clients expect.”
Stuart Rising, head of graphic arts at Canon UK & Ireland, added: “Yeomans has built an outstanding reputation supporting charities through innovative communications, fundraising and production services. We’re delighted to support the next stage of its growth with the varioPrint iX3200, enabling the business to bring more work in-house, increase flexibility and continue delivering the responsive, high-quality service its charity customers depend upon.”
