Summa is set to launch its newest flatbed cutter, the F1625, at Fespa in Berlin. Designed for wide-format printing, it offers a 160 x 250cm (5 x 8ft) cutting area that handles both rigid and roll media with ease, combining advanced features, modular flexibility, and exceptional value in a compact format.
Tailored for fast-paced production environments, the F1625 can cut a range of materials including vinyl, foam board, acrylics, PVC, and ACM. Its full-board capacity eliminates the need for complex feeding systems, making it ideal for signage, packaging, and display applications, explained the company.
“The F1625 is all about giving professionals what they need most: versatility, reliability, and smart automation,” said Randi Kerkaert, product manager at Summa. “We’ve built this model to fit seamlessly into any workflow while maximizing knife-in time and reducing operator workload.”
According to Summa, key features include automatic device calibration, automatic tool recognition, and the intelligent tandem workflow, which enables simultaneous loading and cutting for up to 50% productivity gains. The F1625 is powered by Summa’s GoProduce Flatbed Edition software, which streamlines job sequencing, automates material recognition, and supports barcode-driven workflows—minimising setup time and operator errors by as much as 60%.
Like other models in the F Series, the company added that the F1625 supports up to three tools simultaneously and features a modular design that grows with business needs.
“This compact format was the missing link in our portfolio,” said Summa’s managing director Geert Pierloot. “With the F1625, we’re meeting demand for a cutter that strikes the perfect balance between footprint and performance.”
