Mimaki Europe has launched the JV200-160, a new roll-to-roll printer aimed at producing high-quality signage with greater efficiency. Designed for ease-of-use and featuring a production speed of 17sqm/hr, the new model adds to Mimaki’s existing portfolio of eco-solvent printers for the sign graphics market.
Intended as a print-only counterpart to the company’s CJV200 integrated printer/cutter range, the JV200-160 is tailored to businesses looking to increase production capacity while maintaining existing workflows. It is compatible with Mimaki’s cutting plotters and supports the company’s ID Cut function, which automates the print-and-cut process to reduce operator input and minimise errors.
“The JV200-160 joins this product series to deliver the same exemplary image quality and top-level productivity for the entry class – now in a print-only model that’s easy to operate and maintain,” said Arjen Evertse, director sales at Mimaki Europe.
The printer uses eco-solvent inks including Mimaki’s newly launched SS22, which is designed to reduce odour by around 40% and is free from GBL – a regulated organic solvent. SS21 and BS4 inks are also supported, offering users flexibility based on cost and application needs.
Further features include an ink saving function to reduce ink consumption without compromising colour accuracy, and an automatic media adjustment system for improved print alignment. Mimaki’s Printer Information Cloud Technology is also built in, enabling remote monitoring and more efficient maintenance.
The JV200-160 will be demonstrated publicly for the first time at Fespa 2025 in Berlin, as part of Mimaki’s 50th anniversary showcase. The printer will be distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hybrid Services.
