Vivid Laminating Technologies has announced the first installation of its patented Razar finishing system at Bally Print in Northern Ireland.
The installation marks the debut of a new finishing solution that combines raised UV printing, digital cutting, creasing and taping within a single integrated system. According to Vivid, the approach reduces the need for multiple machines and helps streamline production workflows.
The installation reflects Bally Print’s ongoing investment in new print production capabilities, said the company.
Razar has been developed to bring together a range of finishing processes in one platform. Vivid says the system enables users to produce raised UV effects alongside digital finishing applications without moving jobs between separate pieces of equipment.
Aaron Klewchuk, director at Bally Print, said: “I can only describe our new Razar as the Swiss Army Knife of print finishing, this is going to be massive for us.”
Vivid believes the combination of raised UV printing and digital finishing functions will help print providers produce higher-value applications more efficiently while reducing handling throughout the production process.
Lewis Evans, commercial director at Vivid, said: “By bringing multiple processes together, we’re helping print businesses work faster, reduce handling, and unlock more creative applications. Partnering with Bally Print for this first installation was a natural fit.”
The installation marks the start of the Razar’s commercial rollout. Vivid said the development is designed to support print businesses looking to consolidate finishing processes and expand the range of applications they can produce in-house.
