Ahead of Global Recycling Day 2021, which will take place on 18 March, J&G Environmental has reiterated its commitment to enhancing customers’ green credentials.

The print waste management company says it will be focusing on how recycling should be recognised as an essential service due to the critical role it has played in protecting the environment during the Covid-19 crisis.

The company’s general manager, John Haines, explained, ‘Last year was not easy for anyone, but something that remained clear to us was the desire among printers to remain committed to their environmental goals and to maintain their green plans,’ Haines said.

‘Recycling is now a critical part of any print business; if you cannot demonstrate to your customers that you are not committed to recycling and other green initiatives, then there is a good chance they will go somewhere that is more conscious about the planet.

‘As the world recovers from Covid-19, there is no better time to explore the options available to you in terms of recycling and becoming a much greener operation.

‘There has been a great deal of change in the industry, and indeed the world, over the past 12 months, but one key factor has remained very much the same – the need for all businesses to be as as possible.’
