Pelican Print has purchased an Esko Kongsberg X24 Starter cutting table from CMYUK.

With a history spanning 20 years, Pelican provides in-house pre-press, litho, digital and large format printing from two sites in Aylesbury. The purchase of the Kongsberg X24 Starter is intended to bring ‘a new aspect to the company,’ managing director Scott Brookes said. ‘The X24 is definitely going to give us that competitive edge. The price point was right and due to it being modular, we can grow the machine with our business.’

Pelican has kick-started its new era by producing a unique Christmas box in-house for all of its customers. The box comes with a selection of items that showcase some of the company’s new capabilities with a festive approach.

Sarah Winterbottom, senior digital sales consultant at CMYUK, commented, ‘It has been a pleasure working with Pelican again after supporting them into the world of digital ten years ago. They were one of the more forward-thinking litho printers at the time, becoming an early adopter, and it’s great to see them going from strength to strength.’
