The Warwickshire Print Centre of Coventry Building Society has invested in a B2 Horizon AFC-566FG fully automated combination folder from Intelligent Finishing Systems to enhance its print production capabilities.

The department opened in 1987 and runs Ryobi offset presses and Ricoh digital presses. It produces Coventry Building Society’s national requirements for point of sale, stationery, leaflets and booklets.

‘We wanted to advance our folding automation and increase capacity,’ explained Dean Ashby, scanning and fulfilment centre manager. ‘We also wanted to improve our business offerings, deliver the best print in the most cost effective manner and offer more advanced printed work for the whole of Coventry Building Society’s network, and our members.’

Mr Ashby continued, ‘The increased capacity meant we could reduce outsourcing in the first month. Also due to the higher automation and production speeds we can react much quicker and finish jobs faster. One of the benefits of this is that any delays in the early stages of the job do not impact the overall delivery time.’
