Xerox says its latest light production device, the Xerox Colour C60/C70, is capable of handling applications as diverse as promotional magnets for a local pizza delivery shop or personalised marketing brochures for a large corporation.

The 70 colour pages per minute machine (75 pages for mono) offers sharp, consistent and accurate image quality with 2400 x 2400 dpi resolution and enhanced front-to-back registration accuracy, combined with flexible inline finishing options, such as stapling, hole-punching, folding and face trimming. There is a choice of four Xerox and Fiery print servers/controllers.

Media versatility is enhanced by the use of the company’s Emulsion Aggregation (EA) toner, which has unique ultra-low-melt technology, said Xerox, making printing on linen possible – a first for a device in this category, it added. EA is able to navigate the traditionally difficult peaks and valleys in linen, and bonds with other special substrates like polyester.

This opens up possibilities for producing applications such as high quality, textured greeting cards and invitations, and users can easily enhance their application offerings to include rugged polyester labels, menus, signs and vinyl window stickers.
