The Grafcut 52H guillotine

Rotherham digital printer Secprint has invested in a Grafcut 52H fully hydraulic guillotine from Terry Cooper Services to improve the speed and quality of its finishing services.

The small foot-printed, fully-programmable guillotine will enable the security print specialist to enhance its production of vouchers, tickets and security papers on a Xerox J75, and Ricoh C651 and a Develop 1060.

‘It was time to upgrade,’ explained Brian Terry, Secprint’s general manager. ‘We liked [the Grafcut 52’s] hydraulic clamp and its decent cutting depth. The lightguard is also great and we got a good price.’

Mr Terry was similarly impressed with the increased automation on the new guillotine. ‘Its ability to easily programme and store jobs makes us more productive,’ he said. ‘It has increased our capacity because we can now complete jobs much faster. It has improved the quality of the finish too.’
