Packaging printer Delga Press has purchased the first HP Indigo 12000 HD for packaging in the UK. The upcoming installation will take place at the beginning of April.

The Kent-based company says its move to the HP Indigo 12000 HD digital press will create new opportunities for its customers in terms of personalisation, variable data and special edition work, differentiating itself from its rivals.

In addition to operating shorter runs, the thick substrate kit will enable Delga Press to run 550 micron board through the press, with reduced waste.

‘Short-run work has always been a challenge in the printed packaging market space, and short-run work with exceptional quality has been almost impossible. Thanks to the HP Indigo 12000 HD, we are delighted to say this is now a thing of the past, and we are pleased to be leading the way as the first UK packaging printer to install one,’ said Ian Conetta, managing director. ‘The packaging world moves incredibly quickly and our relationship with HP keeps us at the forefront.’
