Inkloft, a new specialist digital printing ink business founded by Gary Weyman and Andy Hancock, has entered the direct-to-film (DTF) market following its appointment as a distributor of DuPont Artistri DTF products.
The UK-based company has launched with a focus on the DuPont Artistri P1600 range, which is now available to purchase through Inkloft’s website.
Inkloft has been established to supply digital printing inks alongside technical and industry support. Its founders bring experience from across the inkjet sector, with Weyman having worked with DuPont and its digital printing ink portfolio for several decades.
Mr Hancock is the owner of Mexar Limited, a specialist inkjet development company established in 2007.
“Inkloft has been created because we believe there is an opportunity to offer an open approach to the DTF consumables market – genuine product knowledge, straightforward advice and easy access to high-quality inks,” said Mr Weyman. “Artistri is well known for delivering reliability, consistency and its Print Head Assurance Policy. Customers also choose DuPont Artistri because they expect innovation in this fast-moving sector – the new JA1100, Jettable Adhesive is the latest example of this ‘lead from the front’ commitment.”
The launch of the P1600 range represents the first stage of Inkloft’s plans to develop an online destination for digital printing inks, combining online purchasing with specialist support.
The company said its approach is intended to give DTF printers and other printing businesses access to established ink technology through a specialist supplier with knowledge of digital printing and ink development.
