Fiery has launched the Fiery FS700X Pro platform, a custom-designed digital front end developed for Xerox and introduced with the Xerox Proficio PX500 and PX300 Production Presses.

The platform is based on Fiery’s FS700 Pro technology and has been developed through collaboration with Xerox. It is designed to help Xerox production print customers simplify job setup, reduce downtime and deliver consistent output across high-production environments, said the company.

The new platform includes Fiery Smart Estimator, which helps print teams understand production costs before jobs are produced. It also features Easy Vitals and the Job Progress Light, providing visual alerts and health monitoring to help operators identify potential issues earlier.

The platform also includes Fiery JobExpert presets, designed to reduce manual setup by applying custom-tuned settings, while allowing users to work with either Fiery or Xerox workflow options.

Colour management is a central part of the platform, with Xerox PredictPrint Media Manager and Xerox EZ Color Check technology combining with Fiery 1-step colour management and zero-touch recalibration. According to Fiery, this enables automated media setup and colour management, supporting repeatable colour with fewer rejected jobs.

The platform also supports 10-bit imaging, Fiery Edge technology and Delta E linearisation across calibration methodologies, as well as speciality colour and embellishment management.

“Fiery FS700X Pro is the result of strong collaboration between Fiery and Xerox to create a platform that provides outstanding results for the Xerox Proficio series,” said John Henze, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Fiery.

Terry Antinora, President, Global Production Print Services, Xerox, added: “With Fiery FS700X Pro, exclusively designed for the Xerox Proficio series, we are redefining expectations for what a print server should deliver.”
