Mimaki has announced the launch of the UJV200 Series, a new UV roll-to-roll printer that will make its EMEA debut at Fespa Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona.

The UJV200 range, comprising the UJV200-160 and UJV200-130, builds on the company’s established 200 Series and is designed to broaden access to UV printing while supporting a wider range of applications for print service providers.

“With the UJV200, we are bringing together three key elements our customers are looking for today: consistent high image quality, ease of use and the flexibility of UV printing”, said Arjen Evertse, director sales, Mimaki Europe. “This combination allows print service providers to expand into new applications, work across a wider range of media and respond faster and confidently to customer demands, without adding complexity to their operations.”

The printer is powered by a print engine derived from Mimaki’s 330 Series, delivering smooth gradients, sharp text and consistent solid colours. This is aimed at applications where visual clarity is critical, including retail graphics, wayfinding signage and technical displays.

Andrew Gregory, sales director at Hybrid Services, added: “The 200 Series has already set a new standard for solvent print and we are excited to expand this to UV print with the UVJ200. Following its launch at Fespa you will be able to see the UJV200 in Hybrid’s showroom, located in Crewe, or you can contact your authorised Mimaki reseller partner to discuss how the UJV200 could benefit your business.”

Ease of use is supported by the inclusion of Mimaki’s Dot Adjustment System (DAS2), which enables automatic image quality adjustments across a range of media types, including transparent and coloured substrates. The system is designed to reduce setup time and material waste, while maintaining consistent output regardless of operator experience.

The use of UV curing allows prints to be handled immediately after production, supporting faster turnaround times. It also enables printing on heat-sensitive materials and removes the need for pre- and post-heating, contributing to lower energy consumption. The UJV200 uses Mimaki’s ELS-170 UV inks, which are formulated without SVHC and CMR substances.

White and clear ink options allow for up to three-layer printing, supporting applications such as window graphics, backlit displays, labels and decorative work.

Mr Evertse added: “Our focus is not only on performance, but on enabling our customers to grow. The UJV200 has been designed to support both established print businesses and those looking to expand into UV, offering a reliable and flexible solution that adapts to different production environments.”

The UJV200-160 and UJV200-130 will be available from April 2026 and are compatible with Mimaki’s cutting plotters for automated print-and-cut workflows.

The printer will form part of Mimaki’s wider Fespa showcase, where the company will highlight application-led workflows across signage, graphics and promotional print.

“At Fespa 2026, our focus is on showing what our technology enables in real-world applications,” explains Danna Drion, General Manager Marketing and Product Management, Mimaki Europe. “Visitors will see how different solutions come together to support creativity, flexibility and business growth – from signage and graphics to personalised and promotional applications. This is what ‘Print Different’ means in practice: turning innovation into real business opportunities for our customers.
