UK-based sign and branding company Stewart Signs has acquired a majority stake in Signbox, an architectural signage firm based in Egham, Surrey.

The acquisition combines the capabilities of both businesses, allowing Stewart Signs to expand its presence and service offering within the UK visual communications and graphics market.

According to Stewart Signs’ managing director Gareth Livingstone, the move aims to “expand our capabilities” and “offer greater value through enhanced design innovation and operational synergy.”

Signbox’s managing director Mark Bartlett and director Matthew Wilkins will remain in their current roles to ensure continuity for clients. Mr Bartlett said the collaboration “unites two established names in the signage sector” and will “create new opportunities for clients through shared expertise.”

Founded in 1963, Stewart Signs provides services across sectors including transportation, education, healthcare, and public infrastructure. The acquisition gives the company a broader geographic footprint, with operations now spanning Leicestershire, Southampton, and Surrey.

Signbox will continue to operate under its existing management while integrating with Stewart Signs’ wider network.
