GelatoConnect has added149 new features in the first quarter of 2025. The improvements come as part of its ongoing effort to support print producers with tools aimed at improving operational control, efficiency and scalability, said the company.

Positioned as an operating system for print production, GelatoConnect covers procurement, workflow, and logistics. The company says that each of the newly released features was developed in collaboration with customers, with a focus on enabling them to reduce manual work, fulfil more orders, and oversee performance across their operations.

Paul Hudson, CEO of Hudson Printing, said: “There’s a massive opportunity in print—and until now, the technology hasn’t kept up. What GelatoConnect is building finally unlocks the industry’s full potential.” Stephan Steiner, president of GSB Digital, added: “The speed of development and implementation with GelatoConnect is unlike anything we’ve seen from a supplier.”

Reported customer outcomes include a 75% reduction in material waste at Bennett Graphics, a 50% time saving on packaging at Exakta, and a $500,000 cost saving through AI-powered procurement at ESP. Oschatz, meanwhile, recorded 20% growth without increasing staff numbers.

Among the updates are integrations with leading web-to-print storefronts such as Shopify, Etsy, Infigo, and Pressero. These are designed to automate quote-based jobs, speed up onboarding, and help print providers scale order intake. New functionality also includes intelligent order routing that can distribute jobs between in-house teams or partners, as well as direct integrations with platforms like Cloudprinter and Ciloo to support onboarding of high-volume global brands.

Additional enhancements include an AI-powered product builder for creating and managing product models and attributes, and real-time production tracking via mobile devices that allows operators to update job statuses as they go, offering greater visibility across the production floor.
