Fiery has launched two new digital front ends (DFEs) – the IC-323 and IC-322 – for Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C14010/C12010 and the white-toner enabled C14010S/C12010S production presses.

Built on the Fiery FS600 Pro platform, the DFEs offer advanced automation, colour control and support for white toner, which the company says will help print providers improve productivity, reduce manual workload and expand its service offerings.

“With the launch of these new Fiery DFEs, we are significantly enhancing the value proposition for our AccurioPress clients,” said Jason Dizzine, vice president, portfolio management and planning at Konica Minolta. “The synergy between our high-performance presses and Fiery’s advanced automation, colour accuracy and white toner capabilities equips print providers with the tools they need to expand their offerings, boost productivity and deliver outstanding results with confidence.”

According to the company, key features include Intelligent HyperRIP technology, claimed to be up to 230% faster than competing RIPs, and Fiery Command WorkStation for managing multiple presses. The DFEs also include enterprise-level security measures, such as removable hard drives and TPM (Trusted Platform Module) support.

The new DFEs feature Fiery’s 1-Step colour management and zero-touch recalibration, with the IQ-601 Intelligent Quality Optimizer keeping colour consistent. Spot colour control is supported by Fiery ColorGuard and TrueBrand, while integration with Microsoft Office applications is also enabled.

Support for CMYK + white toner printing on the C14010S and C12010S allows for applications on black, dark, metallic and transparent media. The DFEs are also among the first to be Color-Logic certified for metallic effects using white toner.

Other workflow enhancements include Fiery JobExpert for automatic job setup, Fiery JobFlow Base for file issue detection, and Fiery Finishing Designer for adding finishing marks. VDP tools are also integrated to support personalised applications.

John Henze, vice president of sales and marketing at Fiery, said: “With cutting-edge innovations like Intelligent HyperRIP, seamless integration with the IQ-601, and white toner support, the Fiery IC-323 and IC-322 are designed to help print businesses not only stand out with brilliant results, but also expand their capabilities and grow.”

The new DFEs are available now in the US and Europe through authorised resellers and will launch in Asia-Pacific in May.
