Tech Data UK is working to introduce Xerox Supplies Services software to more channel partners and encourage them to build a managed print services business.
By installing the software on a customer’s network, resellers can monitor, using XSS Command Centre, the levels of ink and toner cartridges on the entire estate of printers and MFPs.
The service is cloud-based, so resellers can monitor their customers’ print estate from anywhere and in addition to Xerox devices, XSS can be used to monitor products from a number of other leading printer brands.
‘Xerox Supplies Services provides resellers with an easy, cost-effective way to enter managed print services, drive up consumables business and increase customer loyalty,’ said Peter Lunn, senior category manager. ‘The Xerox Supplies Services solution is a great way to move into managed print services and offer more value to customers. It is a really elegant solution and one that we are very keen to encourage partners to adopt.’
With the software, when pre-set thresholds are reached, the reseller will be notified to take an action to replenish the required consumables. Through the XSS portal, resellers have direct access into Tech Data’s stock system, enabling them to supply replacements immediately, against a pre-existing agreement or a new customer order. XSS can be used to trigger servicing alerts too, so it can be used it as an integral part of a reseller’s maintenance services offerings.
