ARC Document Solutions is expanding its colour graphics and wide-format capabilities across the US with an investment in HP Latex R530 technology.
The rollout is intended to extend premium graphics production across ARC’s national network, combining local production with centralised account management for customers running multi-location graphics programmes.
ARC operates approximately 140 locations globally, primarily in North America, with around 45 currently operating as Riot Creative Image Centers, its dedicated colour graphics and wide-format business. The deployment will enable more ARC locations to support Riot Creative Imaging programmes.
According to ARC, producing graphics closer to where they are required will help reduce turnaround times and allow the business to respond more quickly to changing customer requirements.
A key focus of the investment is colour consistency. Large national programmes can involve different elements being produced at multiple ARC locations before being displayed together, making variations particularly noticeable for customers operating to strict brand guidelines. Standardising production around the HP Latex R530 is intended to provide more consistent colour and print quality across locations.
“Our customers increasingly need one partner to manage graphics programs across multiple locations without compromising color, quality or brand standards,” said Dilo Wijesuriya, president and chief operating officer, ARC Document Solutions. “Our investment in HP technology strengthens our ability to deliver that at a national scale. The HP Latex R530 gives ARC and Riot the flexibility, speed, and reliability to produce closer to our customers, respond quickly to changing needs, and deliver consistent results across our network.”
The rollout will also support workflow standardisation across the ARC network. The company said fulfilling more projects locally could reduce transportation requirements and support supply-chain efficiency and its wider sustainability efforts.
“Customer expectations and demands keep evolving, and our job is to make sure HP technology delivers real value for the businesses that rely on it,” said Oriol Gasch, head of large format printing, North America, HP. “For ARC, that means giving its network the speed, quality, and flexibility to meet rising demand for premium color and wide-format work, wherever it is produced.”
The investment forms part of ARC and Riot’s national production model, allowing graphics programmes to be managed through a single provider while using production resources located closer to customers across the US.
