Soyang Europe has promoted Damien Martin to the position of wide-format manager for the UK and Ireland, with responsibility for sales across the company’s 1.6m-wide printing equipment portfolio.
Mr Martin joined Soyang Europe in April 2024 as sales manager and will now work with print service providers across the UK and Ireland to identify hardware suited to their production requirements.
The portfolio covered by his new role includes Mimaki printers and cutters, Graphtec cutting plotters and Vivid Laminating Technologies’ VeloBlade range of die-cutting systems.
Mr Martin will also oversee machinery demonstrations and showcases at Soyang’s new demonstration facility in Altham, Lancashire, as part of the company’s focus on its wide-format hardware offering.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Martin said: “I’m very grateful for the opportunity. The wide-format portfolio within our hardware department continues to go from strength to strength, and I’m looking forward to working closely with our partners and supporting customers across a broad range of markets.”
Soyang Europe manufactures and distributes digitally printable wide- and superwide-format media and surface coverings, alongside its portfolio of print production hardware.
Mark Mashiter, CEO of Soyang, said Mr Martin’s experience in the wide-format hardware sector would support the company’s work with customers considering investment in new equipment.
“Drawing on his established experience in wide-format hardware sales, Damien will continue to focus on customer engagement, live demonstrations and helping businesses invest in reliable, productive equipment that enhances their capabilities.
“This shows Soyang’s commitment to continued investment in our hardware department.”
