Tecnau has renewed its focus on Tecnau Connect, its Industrial IoT platform designed to provide real-time production visibility, monitoring and diagnostics for high-speed digital print finishing lines.
Already used by customers in Europe and included in a number of Tecnau system configurations, the platform is now being brought to the forefront for the US market, where the company says it can help print providers improve uptime and identify causes of production losses.
Tecnau Connect continuously collects and analyses production and machine data from connected Tecnau finishing systems. This information is presented through a browser-based interface, providing dashboards, reports and KPIs covering areas including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), line and module status, error history, production statistics, speed metrics, counters, roll changes and maintenance records.
The platform is designed to help users identify recurring problems and their root causes by distinguishing between initial errors and subsequent cascading events. Operators, maintenance teams, production managers and service specialists can therefore access a shared view of performance and downtime.
“Tecnau Connect has helped us better understand where production losses occur, identify recurring issues faster, and make more informed decisions across our finishing operation.” said a European print provider using Tecnau Connect.
The system also supports condition-based preventive maintenance by monitoring component cycles, operating hours and usage data. Secure remote connectivity enables Tecnau specialists to provide diagnostics, troubleshooting, remote support and software updates.
“Tecnau Connect was developed to provide customers with a comprehensive and transparent view of their production line performance, not only giving evidence that a stoppage has occurred, but providing valuable insight into why it happened and how it impacts the overall production process. By combining machine status, OEE analytics, error classification, and maintenance data into a single platform, Tecnau Connect enables customers to identify and address root causes rather than symptoms, creating a more reliable production environment and increasing the operational efficiency,” said Emanuela De Marco, chief technology officer at Tecnau.
Tecnau Connect is available for Revolution 50 systems, Libra 800 and other Tecnau products, providing production and maintenance data intended to support performance improvements across digital print finishing operations.
