Konica Minolta has introduced a new “entry level” press series, capable of printing at up to 81 A4 pages per minute and enabling “faster and more efficient productivity” for print service providers, according to the company.

The AccurioPress C5080 series replaces the C4080 series and can be configured with a wide range of options, workflows and finishing capabilities. There are three models: the AccurioPress C5080 and C5070 (81 and 71 pages per minute, respectively); and the AccurioPrint C5065 (65 pages per minute).

The systems incorporate intelligent media sensors to assist users in selecting the correct paper type and include the new IQ-601 intelligent quality optimiser for colour control and consistency, full colour profiling, sheet file detection and proofless inspection.

Integrated colour management, on-press calibration and end-to-end workflow help to  reduce job set up, while finishing options include booklet making and trimming, creasing and perforating for full-bleed support of banners, booklets, direct mail and business card cutting via the TU-510e, which Konica Minolta says is the world’s first inline trimming unit. There are also three options for controller, including two Fiery options.

Malcolm Smith, category manager for Professional Print at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd, commented: “The AccurioPress C5080 Series sets a new benchmark for entry‑level production print, delivering superb colour quality, rapid turnaround, reduced waste and consistently reliable performance. It’s designed to make high‑quality digital print accessible, intuitive and efficient from day one.

“With smart automation, simple set‑up and the trusted reliability of Konica Minolta technology, these systems give customers, whether public and private sector inplants or commercial printers, the freedom to expand their print capabilities, explore new revenue opportunities and build a strong platform for future success.”
