Fiery has launched FreeForm Create 2.0, the latest version of its free variable data print (VDP) software. The application is designed to make personalised print production easier and more accessible across all Fiery-driven printers, including large format systems.
Developed by Fiery, FreeForm Create is a standalone application that allows users to add variable elements such as personalised text, barcodes and images to print files without requiring specialist design software or complex setup. The company says the updated version significantly expands creative and production capabilities while maintaining a simple workflow.
The new release introduces a range of creative enhancements, including customisable QR codes with optional centre images, as well as a Style Manager designed to help ensure visual consistency across personalised jobs. These tools are aimed at reducing repetitive setup tasks while supporting brand alignment across campaigns.
A key development in version 2.0 is its integration with Fiery XF 9, bringing variable data functionality to large format print environments. According to Fiery, this removes the need for separate VDP solutions for wide format work and enables a more unified workflow across commercial, large format, and industrial print operations. Applications include personalised signage, packaging prototypes, point-of-purchase displays, and promotional materials.
Ease of use has also been a focus of the update. New Data Preflight tools check data fields, barcode validity, and image paths earlier in the process to help prevent production errors and reduce reprints. A simplified image setup process is intended to reduce manual intervention for both operators and designers.

FreeForm Create 2.0 is available as a free download from the Fiery website and supports variable data workflows across a wide range of print applications, from direct mail and labels to packaging and retail displays.
