Mitsubishi HiTec Paper has revised its entire line of Jetscript matt papers for inkjet presses, claiming quality improvements for a wide range of commercial print applications, from direct mail to photobooks.

The new Jetscript generation is offered in weights from 70 to 228gsm, with single- and double-sided versions available in standard and premium grades. Four existing products have been replaced and in addition, two new premium-coated variants have been added to serve as face material for label applications.

Mitsubishi HiTec says that the new optimised coated ink-receiving layer ‘enables particularly vivid, lifelike and brilliant colours’ and that the ‘homogeneous, even surface of the new papers is particularly noticeable with large-area prints’, further noting that a higher optical ink density optimises the reproduction of dark and black shades in particular.

Applications for the new inkjet papers range from large-format and poster prints in retail and PoS to direct mail, publishing and brochures, to photos and photobooks. The whole range is available in FSC Mix or PEFC-certified varieties and is suitable for use with both dye and pigment inks.
