The deadline to enter the British Book Design and Production Awards 2022 has been extended to Friday 22 July.

All books published between 9 July 2021 and 1 July 2022 are eligible for entry. There are 16 categories including photographic, scholarly, academic and children. There is also a specific category for aspiring students to enter their work for free and the winner will receive a cheque for £500 as well as a short internship with a leading designer, publisher or printer.

Organisers British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), in partnership with Oxford Brookes University and BookMachine, have selected a panel of industry experts from the areas of design, publishing and production to judge all the entries.

In addition to the 16 category winners, the book that outshines the rest will win the title of Book of the Year.

The awards, sponsored by Canon, Diamond Print Services, Halstan, IFS, Mondi, The Printing Charity and Winter & Company, will be presented on 7 November 2022 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

There is also a books category in this year’s Digital Printer awards, celebrating high quality digital printing, embellishment and finishing. The deadline to enter is August 26 2022.
