CMYUK has become the first EFI reseller to be awarded Fiery for Display Graphics Premier Partner status, which should enable it to provide higher levels of customer service for end-users of EFI’s DFE platform and display graphics ‘ecosystem’.

The new programme from EFI aims to identify the best ‘Fiery for Display Graphics’ resellers. To achieve the Premier Partner status, resellers must meet various criteria, including certified technical training for installation, user training and support, plus specialist sales training. This requires both a financial and time commitment from the reseller and an ongoing commitment to participate in quarterly virtual update meetings. In exchange, the Partners receive qualified sales leads from EFI, enhanced support and listing as a preferred distributor on EFI’s website.

Chris Schowalter, Fiery for Display Graphics global sales director at EFI, said, ‘It is no surprise to us that CMYUK is the first to achieve this highest-level accreditation for Fiery Display Graphics Products. They tick all the boxes and have been a trusted partner to us for many years, doing a great job supporting all our customers in the UK and Ireland.’

Amira Bouchiba, manager of the CMYUK Training Academy commented, ‘The Premier Partnership programme affords CMYUK official global recognition of our expertise with the Fiery Digital Graphics software portfolio. Being accredited as an EFI Premier Partner ensures that customers understand that the service and support they are given from CMYUK is the absolute best they can hope to receive.’

It has been a busy period for CMYUK, which has also confirmed that Leicester-based Data Image has invested in two of its High Roller Carousel systems, one 5.3m wide, the other 3.2m.

Under its previous storage regime the business was having to lose a metre in length across 3.2 or 5m widths on virtually every roll purchased due to damage or dirt. By utilising vertical ‘dead space’ the High Roller Carousel significantly increases the storage capacity of a business, ensuring that all roll materials are retained in perfect condition and close at hand, ready for instant access and usage.

Managing director Robert Farfort explained, ‘It’s incredible. It’s really compact. It goes up rather than out utilising all that wasted space – ideal for these big rolls. It’s bizarre because I don’t think many businesses regard equipment like this as adding any value or increasing their bottom line. To them it’s not like buying a printer where there’s a direct correlation between the equipment and making money, but once you do the analysis, the benefits and cost savings are right there.’
